Job Description

Job Title: DevOps Engineer Level 3

Location: Texas – Remote

Job Type: Contract

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer Level 3 to join our DevSecOps team. In this role, you will play a key role in enhancing and optimizing our CI/CD pipelines, automating workflows, and supporting production and non-production environments. Your expertise will drive improvements in our CI/CD principles, tools, and platforms to streamline operations and minimize errors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment.
  • Install, configure, and manage CI/CD tools and platforms.
  • Automate workflows to enhance process efficiency and reliability.
  • Analyze current tools and workflows to propose enhancements for streamlined deployment.
  • Use configuration management software to manage updates and maintain consistency across environments.
  • Provide enterprise-level solutions for existing automation and create new automation frameworks.
  • Document processes and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
  • Support production and non-production environments, including on-call issue resolution.
  • Collaborate in release and sprint activities to support seamless application delivery.
  • Develop and present proposals for technology enhancements and improvements.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in automating enterprise IT environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), and CI/CD tools.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing advanced automation solutions with tools like Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Ansible.
  • 8+ years of experience with programming/scripting languages, including Python, Go, Shell, and Perl.
  • Expertise in container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and tools such as Helm Charts.
  • Proficient in managing both Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of development experience with Java, J2EE, and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with tools such as WebSphere ND, MQ, Oracle, SQL, LDAP, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
