Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • CI/CD Pipeline Support: Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Help automate build, test, and deployment processes to streamline software delivery.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Collaborate with senior team members to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management tasks using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef. Work towards infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Cloud Services Management: Gain hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Assist in managing cloud resources, monitoring performance, and optimizing costs.
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Learn to set up and configure monitoring and alerting tools to track system performance, identify issues, and ensure uptime and reliability. Assist in responding to alerts and troubleshooting incidents.
  • Scripting and Automation: Develop basic scripts and automation workflows using programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Help automate routine tasks and streamline operational processes.
  • Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development, operations, and QA teams to support their needs and requirements. Assist in troubleshooting issues, resolving technical challenges, and providing support as needed.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to documentation efforts by documenting configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to foster learning and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Relevant coursework or certifications in DevOps, cloud computing, or software engineering is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration and command-line tools. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI is desirable.
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience with basic cloud services like EC2, S3, or Azure Virtual Machines is a plus.
  • Scripting and Automation: Some experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Eagerness to learn and improve scripting skills to automate tasks and processes.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to troubleshooting technical issues. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Team Player: Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work well in a team environment. Eagerness to contribute to team success and take on new challenges.
