As a Technical Program Manager for Risk and Identity Solutions (RaIS), you will drive quality and velocity of our technology. You should be comfortable with owning issues and managing the outcome. You enjoy driving, resolving, facilitating and follow up. You understand the risks and the trade-offs and are both technical and process focused.

Essential Functions:

  • Independently responsible for end-to-end planning and execution of one or more medium to high complexity program(s) and/or Agile teams. Day-to-day accountability for tracking scope, schedule, budget, risks, deployments and communications for projects, initiatives, and smaller programs.
  • Effectively communicate and address obstacles delaying projects from delivering against objectives.
  • Effective communication showcased in reporting, notes, documentation, FAQs, escalations, and more.
  • Build effective Partner/Stakeholder relationships thru effective Communication and Facilitation.
  • Support implementation of Visa project methodology required artifacts. Supports review, sizing and estimation of work based on One Pagers, Epics or CA requirements for AOP/TPIC.
  • Manage preparation for Quarterly Business Review and lead Quarterly Planning sessions.
  • Create and be the custodian for living program roadmaps.
  • As Scrum coach, coach multiple teams through the software development life cycle using Agile, Scrum, and Lean practices and work cross-functionally throughout the company to ensure projects are developed and deployed with quality and timely delivery into our production systems.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of Data Platform and/or DevOps projects.
  • Lead role for PM relevant improvement initiatives

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Bachelors or Masters STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math), or equivalent.
  • You love to make things happen with teamwork and process innovation. You are technical. You are collaborative.
  • 7 or more years of experience, as Engineering Manager, Scrum Master, Project Manager, Program Manager (or equivalent) or Lead, working with technical teams developing software solutions. Including, 4 or more years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master, Kanban, or Agile coach.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and ability to understand and capture notes on architectural and technical aspects of Data and DevOps projects. Continuous learner.
  • Technology knowledge of tech stacks (Big Data would be a plus) and experience driving best practices in software engineering practices.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior scrum masters and NCGs.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to think strategically. Willingness to step up and get into the details
  • Effective facilitation skills at scale.
  • Past hands-on experience on JIRA, Rally, JA or similar
  • One or more Agile certifications: CSM, PMI ACP, SAFe.
  • SAFe certified. PMP or similar detailed knowledge of formal project management processes preferred.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 124,700.00 to 180,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
